WORLDCOLOR CG200 DTF SYSTEM
About DTF (Direct-To-Film) Printing
Direct-To-Film (DTF) is the latest technology in apparel decoration since DTG (Direct-to-garment) printing took the industry by storm nearly 2 decades ago. Although these methods sound similar, DTF printing has some drastic advantages. This new revolutionary technology was released during the height of the pandemic, so many people have not yet heard of it, but it is quickly changing the landscape of apparel decoration. There have been other transfer systems and methods around for years, but none as cost effective, versatile, or durable as what is being seen with the new DTF transfers.
WorldColor's CG line of DTF Printing Systems is the latest technology in custom apparel decoration. WorldColor's CG line of DTF Printing Systems have several advantages over other DTF Systems, DTG equipment, traditional transfers, and traditional screen printing methods.
We do our due diligence in research, development, and technology to ensure we provide our end users with every advantage possible to exceed in the market. In the process of our testing we were able to make key modifications and options that have made WorldColor's line of DTF printing systems among the best in the world.
Key updates and advantages of WorldColor DTF Printing Systems:
The CG200 DTF System Is our mid-level system geared at start ups, independent clothing designers, and shops with consistent medium volume apparel orders. This machine can handle a cycle of 5,000-10,000 transfers/month. It will produce up to 200 heart chest prints or 50 full size chest prints/hour.
Superior Washability- Who wants a shirt that fades? Most people don't. We’ve tested nearly every DTG ink on the market and none come close to the washability of our WorldColor DTF inks. We were amazed at how great shirts look after dozens of washes. We can put our inks and system up against any DTG ink and system in the world and we will win the wash test.
Stretchability- Who wants a shirt with a print that cracks? Most people don't. Crack is whack! The heat transfers produced by the CG DTF Systems have superior stretchability so they can be applied to many different fabrics and stretch with the body's natural curves.
Variety of Fabrics- Who only wants to print on cotton or cotton poly blends? Not us! The CG DTF Systems allow you to print on all fabrics and even surfaces like wood and coasters. This will immediately put you at an advantage by having one machine, one ink set, and one method that can run the gamut of fabrics and materials.
Two Separate Units- It may seem like a good idea to have the printer and dryer all in one unit. However with DTF this is actually a disadvantage. With a 2 unit system you are able to easily and quickly do short runs and tests which is eliminated when you combine the printing and drying unit. Furthermore, if one part of your all in one printer malfunctions, production is halted versus a two unit system, which allows you to continue short runs and or drying.
Low Purchase Cost- Right Now the cost of 1 entry level DTG System is the cost of 2 entry level CG DTF Systems. This will not always be the case, so act fast!
Low Ink cost- Our water based C Green DTF ink cost on average 30-40% less than DTG inks. In addition our inks have better washability and can be applied to all fabrics.
Low Cost Per Transfer/Expand your market- - You can make transfers for pennies with the CG DTF system. You read that correctly! Not only can you make money printing/applying transfers to garments, but you can also sell transfers directly to clients creating an additional stream of revenue. Other specialty transfer paper on the market sells for up to $5 for a single sheet before the sheet is even printed and other manufactures charge up to $20 for a single print ready transfer.
No more weeding vinyl, ever! Weeding artwork has now been eliminated, since the artwork is printed directly on the film.
The Smallest Details- No need to worry that something is too small to print. The Cg DTF system produces a high quality transfer that will allow you do print fine lines and tiny letters suitable for neck tags and more.
Less Prone To Clogs- Not only does our ink cost less, it is less prone to clog the micro nozzles of the print head. This is because C Green DTF ink has a lesser viscosity or thickness than other inks. White ink specifically is crucial when printing apparel on darker garments. If you have a weak dull white, you will have a weak dull print.
AWIC System (Auto White Ink Circulation System)- The AWIC system on the CG DTF Systems keep your white ink in a print ready state by periodically stirring and circulating your ink. Since our DTF inks are already less prone to clogging, the AWIC System helps ensure ink is not left to settle or dry.
Less Maintenance- With inks that are less prone to clog and the AWIC System installed on all CG DTF Systems, you can leave your printer in a rest state for up to 2 weeks unattended and come back and start printing like you just left. Try that with a DTG machine. You are now free to take a break or a trip. Owning a piece of equipment that makes shirts shouldn’t turn into owning a pet.
Environmentally Friendly- The CG stands for C Green. The C Green DTF film used to print and transfer the ink to the apparel is 100% recyclable ending in minimal waste and carbon footprint. It is unlike any other printing method today. The only ingredients to make heat transfers with the CG DTF System is our water based C Green ink, glue, and our recyclable C Green film.
Dependability: A Machine Built for DTF- A tug boat, speed boat, and fishing boat are all boats but each is designed for a specific task. It is the same here. Don’t expect a modified desktop DTF printer to run like our DTF machines that were built to print DTF transfers. There are big differences in the operation, ease of maintenance, and quality of the end product.
No Ink Cartridges
Buying ink cartridges? What is this the 90’s? The CG DTF Systems are all equipped with clear bulk ink systems. This allows you to save money and literally see how much ink you have. You will not be buying and replacing ink or toner cartridges with our systems. Our ink is available 30-40% cheaper and sold in 1 liter bottles.
Store The Prints
You can efficiently store DTF transfer prints for up to one year or longer. When you print extra transfers, reorders only take a few seconds per shirt.
No Pretreatment
Who wants to spray every shirt with glue and wait for it to dry before we print it. Most people don't. Not to mention it's $50 gallon + shipping. That is the glue in the process of DTG printing and the ink sticks to that glue which is called pre-treatment. With DTF printing the glue that sticks to the ink is in a powder form which is melted into the print to form a durable, stretchable transfer that is bondable to nearly any fabric.
No Screens
Who wants to print a piece of film, line it up perfectly, shine a light on it for 2 mins, spray it with water, wait for it, spray it with more water, wash the image out, wait for it to dry, lock it in, tape it, ink it, and all just for one color. It's called screen printing and it has it's place. That place is not full color vibrant, high definition prints that can go on any fabric in 10 seconds. That is DTF.
Faster Manufacturing Process/Less Handling Time
DTF shirt handling: Put the shirt on the heat press, press the transfer (10 secs.), peel off the film, remove the shirt from the press. Repeat.
DTG shirt handling: Put the shirt on the pretreatment station, spray/pre-treat the shirt, move the shirt to the heat press and press for 2-3 minutes to dry, move the shirt to the machine, print the shirt 2-3 minutes, move the shirt back to the heat press and press for an additional 2-3 minutes to dry again. Repeat.
